Study Abroad
Manage international programs with the same level of structure, oversight, and accountability as on-campus instruction. Campus Credit provides a single system to run Study Abroad programs end to end—from application and approvals to pre-departure requirements, arrival tracking, and academic credit.
Overview
Campus Credit Study Abroad is a centralized system for managing international academic programs—from application and approvals to pre-departure requirements, arrival, and academic credit. It replaces fragmented tools with a single institutional record for each student and program.
Every step is structured, auditable, and aligned with institutional policy.
Why It Matters

-
International programs increase risk without clear documentation and visibility
-
Disconnected systems make compliance and approvals harder to manage
-
Academic credit is delayed or disputed when records are incomplete
A structured Study Abroad workflow protects students and institutions while keeping programs scalable.
The Problem Today

Most Study Abroad programs rely on disconnected systems—third-party portals, PDFs, email threads, and shared drives. Applications, approvals, visas, insurance, and pre-departure requirements live in different places, owned by different offices, with no single source of truth.
Once students travel internationally, visibility drops. Institutions struggle to track readiness, confirm arrival, document issues, and ensure academic credit returns cleanly to the home campus.
Campus Credit’s End-to-End Study Abroad Workflow
Program Setup & Eligibility
Configure Study Abroad programs with eligibility rules, application requirements, deadlines, and capacity controls aligned to institutional policy and partner agreements.
Pre-Departure & Arrival Tracking
Manage orientations, travel confirmations, arrival verification, and required check-ins so institutions maintain visibility once students are abroad.
Applications, Reviews & Approvals
Centralize student applications, document uploads, e-signatures, and multi-office reviews. Academic, international, and compliance reviews can run in parallel or sequence with clear ownership and time-stamped decisions.
Academic Credit & Completion
Support course pre-approvals, learning agreements, proof of completion, and registrar review to ensure credits transfer back accurately and on time.
Compliance, Visas & Risk Documentation
Collect and track passports, visas, insurance, waivers, health disclosures, and conduct acknowledgments in one secure system—ensuring nothing is missed before departure.
Dashboards & Program Reporting
Give administrators real-time visibility into applications, readiness, compliance status, participation, and credit outcomes across programs and terms.
How Study Abroad Works
1. Set up programs and requirements
Institutions configure Study Abroad programs with eligibility rules, deadlines, required documents, partner details, and approval paths aligned with academic and international policies.
4. Review, approve, and prepare for departure
Applications route through academic, international, and compliance reviews. Pre-departure tasks—orientation, insurance, visas, and travel details—are tracked so staff know who is cleared to go.
2. Configure roles and access
Role-based access is assigned to Study Abroad staff, international offices, faculty, advisors, registrars, and compliance reviewers so each group sees only what they need to review and manage.
5. Track participation and completion
Institutions can confirm arrival, manage required check-ins, and document issues if needed. Proof of completion and academic materials are collected for credit processing.
3. Students apply and submit documentation
Students complete a guided application, upload required documents, sign waivers and acknowledgments, and submit visa or compliance information in one structured workflow.
6. Award credit and close the program
Registrars review learning agreements, transcripts, or completion records so credit is awarded accurately. Program records are finalized with a complete, auditable history.

Built for Academic Programs, International Offices, and Faculty
Campus Credit Study Abroad is designed so institutions don’t have to bend academic standards, compliance requirements, or approval processes to fit a generic travel platform.
Colleges & Universites
International offices, registrars, academic departments, and student services work from one shared system instead of juggling third-party portals, spreadsheets, and email approvals.
Faculty & Program Directors
Faculty leaders can review applications, approve coursework, track readiness, and confirm completion without creating custom workflows or managing documents offline.
Students & Support Offices
Students complete a clear, guided process, while advisors and support staff can see application status, compliance readiness, and outcomes without chasing information.

Campus Credit doesn’t replace your SIS or scheduling tools. It gives you one clean source of truth for dual enrollment applications, approvals, rosters, and grades—then lets you move that data into Banner, Colleague, PeopleSoft, or any SIS your college already uses.
-
SIS-ready exports: Download pre-filtered files by term, course, or high school for fast upload into your SIS.
-
One system of record for workflows: Campus Credit manages approvals, status changes, and instructor updates so your SIS only gets final, accurate data.
